Sometime i think our world is nothing but a science project of some high school kid and he is observing the changes and evolution of human beings like we observe a butterfly's life cycle. the truman show is a story of a man a simple man and how he is so special to a world he is totally unaware of.  

man are becoming oblivious more and more with each day passing, we speak more we feel so little.

gazing the starry sky days are far behind us, our stars are now exchanged with a 6 inch screen our soothing sunrise is now engulfed by fancies of this materialistic world.

love can help you finding your escape, i love the part where truman paste cuttings of fashion magazines to create the face of that girl, in that moment he wasn't stalked by the world it was purely his moment.

we all are trying to find our escape in our tiny boats of dreams, the escape can be anything for truman it was his reality who was he actually and the desire to meet miss red sweater helped him do that.

your reality is what you make it is what you wanna be, rules and stereotypes are man's invention and man is statue of mistakes, be the truman in the sitcom of your life.

shawshank redemption ( power of hope )

I don't believe in god but i do fear him. there is no eternal force which is going to make our lives better there is only one thing which is holding this mankind, hope. shawshank redemption is a tale of hope and survival which portrays how dubious life can be.

there are three ways to deal with your misery, first one is you finish the receiver of pain second is you acclimate to it and third you do something about it. brooks followed the first one, red find his peace with second and andy grabbed the third. 

while on his journey to freedom andy not just freed himself but helped red too in a way, by embarking him with the light of hope scintillating his dark life. 

we all are in a prison, prison of hate, agony, anger, fear which is ceasing our access to a moral life.

and when we broke these prisons we will no longer need the one we made.

we are losing it day by day, the truth of life. seek the truth of your life and i HOPE you find it.

little miss sunshine ( imperfectly perfect )

who set the parameters. who defines what's perfect and what's not, life is too short to care for what others think about you and vice versa. little miss sunshine is about a family on a life changing trip.

where do the losers go? what's their story? we all are fed with the information of perks of being a winner but in order for someone's victory there resides a loser the most important part of the game.

not all of us are strong we all feel downfall at some point of life and at that point we all give in to nostalgia to those summer picnics with family, to those afternoon naps after school. its a delight to see how olive shows her support for dwayne, to let him know that his sister is there for him.

the existence of happiness is because of the shadow of sadness in our life, to feel what joy feels like one must suffer the sorrows of world. the best teacher are the bad days.

the ending left us thinking for whom we are doing all this nonsense, society is a creature you can never satisfy. so do what tickles your happy monster, be your own version of little miss sunshine.

ijaazat ( a night of unspoken words )

once sweethearts are now two strangers who crossed each other once again, ijaazat is a alluring piece of work by gulzar which makes us feel things that we all feel at some point of life.

the movie so beautifully portrays how love can be so different for two people, for maya being proprietorial for mahinder while sudha showed her love by letting him go. 

sometimes all we want is closure, to speak those unspoken words which resides in that conceal part of our heart. this unforeseen encounter between sudha and mahinder scrap that concealed parts of their hearts. 

the song 'mera kuch samaan' is one of the gem out of gulzar's pen. when mahinder sent maya's stuff back to her maya replies to his action by her beautiful poem, she wrote to send back those moments of them in rain to send those kisses those unlimited emotions and love back.

to have a maya is the best and the worst thing. with that incalculable love comes the fear of losing it and that fear make you do things which are not wise, things which have only one result suffering and pain.

people change, feelings change. but that does not mean the love we once share was not true or real.

love is every emotion man feel, but it depends which emotion you let in more.

garden state (resurrection of feelings )

 

What its like to have no emotions no anger, no happiness, no jealousy just nothing, to be numb to all events of our lives. garden state portrays how a boy who is medicated so much that he loses his ability to feel things.  

just like elements in the universe we also want to be in the ideal state to be noble, but its a myth the great beyond. the great beyond is when you know you're alive, and emotions set the seal on the certificate of us being alive. 

andrew when left his home he lost his parts of himself  scattered all over his memories, and sam helped him assemble them and make him feel again.  

somethings cannot be explained you can't know their origin or their meaning and love is one of them. we all got one life we all got one story, spent it doing what you love spent it with whom you love. 

home is not about the place but its the part where your heart rests where you feel safe. andrew lost that a long time ago and i think to find it again after being sam made him feel again.

begin again ( second chance )

 When we feel blue we look for a person with same problems because we know only he can understand what we've been going through. begin again is a story of two strangers being each others solace, life can be real grim sometime but it does not mean it will remain like this always, 'it can go worse'

music is the best invention of mankind. for me music is feeling and no feeling is definite, we gets the best and the purest form of music when the feelings are pure. life is a condition that requires a little anesthesia, and music is the best way to do it.

dan was having a rough time in his life until he hear the chords from gretta's guitar in the pub and suddenly he was doing the best thing he can do where his sorrow cannot find him, making music.

having a person who can make us believe in us again is a gift not everyone have, dan became that person to gretta and while helping her he found himself, he gets the second chance.

i like how the movie ends how gretta did not end up with dan and just moves on with her life. we are outwit by the phrase 'and they live happily ever after' it doesnt work that way, for me its about struggling each day for that happily ever after.

swades ( caravan of life )

Its easy to praise ourselves but to point out the bad habits of oneself is something not anyone can do, swades so beautifully shows us how some evil norms of our society are still ceasing our road to a better life in the name of sacraments and social rules.

 until the philosophy of one race superior and another inferior is permanently abandoned and discredited is when we will have peace in our hearts. 'we all bleed red'

'there are no wrong turns its the people who are wrong' sometimes life gets you to a place you never imagined, but its life you can never predict and that's the beauty of it.

sometimes while solving someone else's problem you get solution to yours one. money never defines a person its the size of heart that counts. the meal mohan had in the farmers house was nothing for mohan to afford but for the farmer it was his days appetite. 

the journey of mohan is depicted so gracefully, from mineral water bottle to street water selling by a small child mohan gets to know how difficult and intractable life can become. 

'we are not the best nation in the world but we have the potential to become one' i think we should accept this fact. we will not get any better by defaming others. for me any rule or ritual which harm or stops a person to have the happiness, freedom and integrity he deserve is no good.

pyaasa 1957 ( a verse of treachery and sad reality of world )

Its really difficult to find a unfeigned person in this world, we live in a sad and bitter world where an act of  comfort is rare to find. pyaasa was an absolute implausible piece of cinema, with every dialogue touching our heart with every poetry we connect more to the sad reality of world.

vijay who gets thrown out from his own house by his own brothers because he is a struggling poet and don't earn well, his lover left him for his poor reality. in this chaos he finds comfort from a person, society loath. a prostitute somehow found some nazams(poems) of vijay and bridge her heart with him.

every poem in the movie is a delight and the lyrics in guru dutt's voice is like a cherry on top. we live in a bitter world and a really sad one yet a little act of generosity can make it a better place.  

'murda parast log' this line shattered my heart yet it is the truth of society, we give more value to a person after they die rather than when they were alive. when people thought vijay committed suicide he became a celebrity and the people who loathed him were now the best friends just to have the benefits of his fame.

i loath those norms of society where being humble and polite is considered as weakness, where money separate brothers and friends. where a dead person is praised and an alive one is crushed. i will never find peace in this world.

stand by me ( good old days )

You never know when you are going  to see a person for the last time, you never know if this a catch you later or a last good bye. people come and go from our life that's a truth we all learn with the course of time even the closest person to you can become a stranger. stand by me is a real piece of cinema  which takes us to our castle of nostalgia.  

a journey of adventure which turns out to be the self awakening to the bitter truth of life, that is separation. how its going to end that's the question we are haunted by, and not knowing is the best thing about it. 

sometime you should feel the pain too in order to confirm that you are alive. the fear of death is what makes us love life more and more. the moment when the group saw the dead body made them realize how small and tangible life is.

it's not like with your life going ahead you are going to meet better people. life doesn't work that way sometime nostalgia is the only escape you have to survive this world. in the end the whole of life becomes an act of letting go. 

i wish there is a way to know you are in the good old days before you actually left them.

before sunrise ( a heart-to-heart )

The best feeling in the world is when someone understand your feeling rather than your words. all we seek is a conversation in which eyes say more than the lips, before sunrise beautifully portrays this heart-to-heart of eyes. 

we all are travelling somewhere even if our physical bodies are still, but this movie shows how two strangers arrive to their destination of ardour. 

the story is so pure that for a moment it feels like somewhere in this world there is a person who is out there on her journey and someday we will meet, and dwell in a strange city without worrying about the milestones we have passed and the milestones yet to come.

everyone have their different definition of love. we set our own parameters of loving someone.

but i think true love is when you forget these criteria, love is not a definite emotion and it can't be stopped no matter how much you resist it.

everyone have a great story its how you tells it, and in this case dir. ricahrd linklater did a fabulous job how a simple conversation can steal our heartbeat, how a simple glance and eye contacts can make us nostalgic to our own journey of love is the beauty of this film.

the ending steals my heart how every place they went on their journey was shown, they were the same place but something was missing there, it was the aura those two travelers carrying with them. someday all of us will become stories but the emotion you feel while telling them can't be shared its eternal its love.

into the wild ( tale of a true valiant )

 who set the terms of our life, who decides what should we do where should we go, who decides our destiny it takes great courage to be the man one wants to be, the meaning of happiness is best explained by those who know sorrow. into the wild is more than just a film. its the thin line between life and death. 

'happiness is only real when shared' i think this line resides the true meaning of life, the shrouded truth we all seek. chris mcCandless was just a boy living his life the way he wanted it exploring not just place but the very core of his heart, with every journey, with every road he walked, with every person he met he left a part of himself in them.

'i just cannot understand why everyone is so rude to one another all this hate, judgement, this agony' greed has poisoned man's soul, the song society by eddie vedder just puts you in a totally different place every line connects us more with the mcCandless's emotions. 

we should earn money to live rather than living for money. i think in the end we all gets to know what we wanted from life, death is the reality of life. 

the one thing which was different about him was that he tried, not many do

dead poet's society ( a journey of emotions )

 we all are survivors. everyday we go through our day to day life and survive the day and in this time of survival little moments of  laugh with our friends, a kiss from that special one,  the peace while watching a baby sleeping is when life happens. dead poets society is a movie which makes us wonder where are we going why we are not stopping and embracing the beauty of life.

the beauty of the dialogue delivery of  robin williams makes us feel like we are the part of dead poets society it feels like its us who are living in that fort of rules where dreams are crushed. 

o captain my captain ..... this line reminds us about that person in our life who keeps our head up whenever we feel low john keates was this person for those young minds who were capable of love but was trying to make some robot who just follow rules

friendship is like the cherry blossom on a fine sunny day, its like the last leave on a perfect autumn morning, its like the first snow of winter. the film so beautifully potrays how friends become family how a person we see laughing one day is gone in the next forever and ever. the best part is the movie does not show that life is all strawberries and cupcakes but there are some rotten fish too which we have to throw out in order to feel the fresh air.
