Limelight is one of the masterpieces of Chaplin in which he so poetically portrayed the bond between two human beings above all the desires, riches, and miseries of the world.
A drunkard, old, and failed comedian finds a girl who attempted suicide, and the journey ahead with all the ups and downs, the success and the failures but apart all from this one thing remains sustained, the love between them.
somethings are not meant to be explained, they are well unstated. you cannot decide whom to love or by whom to be loved, but this is how it works and you have to live in misery to not give the same in return.
it will get over soon, one day or another you are going to see this world for the last time, so live it with the people you love. laugh, cry, feel everything as no feeling is permanent. just in the way don't forget to live.
